Who are you?

You’ll wow us if: 

  • You are a creative front end developer, with a keen interest in progressing your development skills.

  • You have experience developing websites from scratch as well as working alongside larger teams to realise creative and innovative solutions. A good understanding of design and architecture tools and processes will underpin your core skills as a developer.

  • You have built and maintained a portfolio of sites from scratch and will have a soup-to-nuts experience of site setup. You will be up for the challenge of rapidly prototyping and bringing sites live within short timescales to suit the nature of our clients and projects. You will be working flexibly and responsively with our design team and account directors to rapidly develop stunning looking sites that deliver core messages with punch, and that are accessible and responsive to boot.

  • You are for a well rounded team player with a broad understanding of all things digital, who knows when to push themselves and, when to call in the cavalry, with the capability to manage external resources on larger projects.

  • Digital is pervasive in our business and we work across web design and build, motion graphics, filming and editing, digital design and photography.  We’re looking for someone who is an absolute expert in some areas but thrives on learning new skills, staying ahead of new developments and wants a varied job with lots of opportunities for invention and disruption. 

  • You’ll be part of a content creation team, working with account managers who understand the client strategy, but will come to you to develop new ideas, generate excellent ongoing content, build and maintain websites and deliver results daily. 

  • You will be comfortable working on a wide portfolio of digital projects, across a range of platforms within tight deadlines, liaising with clients directly to understand technical requirements, possibilities and limitations to deliver the most effective and creative execution to time critical briefs.

Essential skills and must haves

Our clients like to be a step ahead of the pack and we work shoulder to shoulder with them. As such, we need you to have:

  • Experience building websites from the ground up, with HTML, CSS, PHP and ES6 Javascript.

  • Experience working with Webflow

  • Experience working with Wordpress

  • Experience working with XD/Figma

  • Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS. 

  • Experience working with Git file version software

  • An eye for design and layout aesthetics

  • Examples of cleanly written, well-documented code

  • Experience with testing and debugging.

  • Adept at managing your own time and working to strict deadlines

  • Hunger and drive to continuously develop your own skills and find creative solutions to client problems

    Some nice to haves

  • Experience with one or more Front-end Javascript Frameworks such as Vue, React or NEXT 

  • HTML email development 

  • Experience working with Bootstrap & Tailwind and other design and layout libraries to aid in rapid deployment of styles

  • Experience working with a headless CMS (e.g. Contentful etc)

  • Experience with ThreeJS / 3D interactive Javascript knowledge

  • Experience with GSAP Javascript animation

  • Experience integrating third-party APIs 

  • Understanding of DNS configuration, CDNs and SSL certificates 

  • Experience creating interactive HTML & CSS emails and landing pages for new 

  • Experience working with Bootstrap & Tailwind and other design and layout libraries to aid in rapid deployment of styles. 

    Requirements

    Minimum of 2 years experience of working either in an agency environment or in a freelance capacity.
